THE HAGUE, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- A special unit of the Rotterdam police arrested four suspects who are preparing a terrorist crime, Dutch police announced on Saturday.
The arrests took place on Saturday morning. During the operation, the Rotterdam police were assisted by the Dutch Special Interventions Service.
The exact locations of the arrests were not announced by the police. The investigation now focuses on the "specifics and scale of the terrorist threat", according to the police.
The police did not make any further comments and did not say whether there is a link with the arrests made three months ago.
In late September, Dutch police arrested seven men suspected of plotting a major terrorist attack in the Netherlands -- three from Arnhem, two from Rotterdam, one from Huissen and one from Vlaardingen.
