BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Fujian Sturgeon held off a late surge from Miroslav Radulica to surprise Jiangsu Dragons 103-95 at home in Saturday's 26th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league.

After two consecutive three-pointers from Chen Linjian and Pooh Jeter, Fujian stormed a 10-0 run and were up by 21 points in the third quarter. Chen and Jeter were not the first in Fujian's lineup to trouble Jiangsu from downtown. The hosts made nine three-pointers from 12 attempts during an ill-tempered first half, which ended with Wang Zhelin's dunk that gave Fujian a 57-44 lead.

It looked like Fujian were going to runaway with an easy win against the visitors before Radulica erupted. He contributed two out of the five three-pointers for Jiangsu during the last five minutes of the third quarter and cut the deficit to less than 10 in the first attack in the fourth. It was also Radulica who scored consecutive 11 points in six minutes that kept the visitors alive.

With less than two minutes left Jiangsu narrowed the margin to three points, but Wang Zhelin, who barely got any advantage in the painted area, shot a three-pointer and saved his team from Jiangsu's late comeback.

Radulica stood out with game highs in points (36) and rebounds (13). Huang Yichao from Fujian scored career-high 19 points.

In Saturday's other games, the regular season champions Zhejiang Guangsha Lions were beaten by Nanjing Tongxi Dasheng in a surprise loss 108-92. Bayi Rockets lost to Shandong Golden Stars 106-100, Guangzhou Long Lions beat Qingdao Eagles 111-102.
