HONG KONG, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- R&F defeated Yuen Long 2-1 in round 2 of the group stage at this season's HKFA Sapling Cup soccer tournament here on Sunday.
R&F opened the scoring in the 16th minute as Yuen Chun Sing took control of a goal-kick from Yuen Long's keeper, and then pushed forward to the right side before ripping a tight shot that found the back of the net.
Yuen Long equalized the game 1-1 in the 29th minute when Jean loser pounced on a rebound and sent the ball into the net after Yip Tsz Chun's header was first denied by R&F.
R&F regained the lead in the 70th minute as Lo Kong Wai sent a teasing free-kick into the box and Li Chuek Hon drilled the ball home to seal a 2-1 victory for the R&F.
