BRISBANE, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- The former world No. 1 Andy Murray claimed a 6-3, 6-4 win over local favorite James Duckworth at the Brisbane International on Tuesday.
Murray, 31, took his surgery early last year and missed three of the four Grand Slam events in 2018.
Murray returned to the court last June and played just 12 complete matches last year, leading his ATP ranking dropped to 240th place and was unseeded in Brisbane.
