German shares lose 1.55 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 163.53 points, or 1.55 percent, to close at 10,416.66 points.

Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost the most among the blue chips, down by 5.93 percent, followed by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and European health care company Fresenius SE, which lost 4.69 percent and 4.59 percent respectively.

Energy group RWE, E.ON and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom were the top three winners, rising 1.42 percent, 1.10 percent and 0.91 percent respectively.

German multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 252.5 million euros (286.3 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
