Train derails in northern Morocco

RABAT, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- A train derailed Friday morning near Morocco's northern city of Casablanca, local media reported.

According to Hespress news site, the derailment took place near a major Casablanca train station, but did not report any victims.

The same source said the accident caused damage in the station, stopping traffic from and into the station.

No official statement has been issued.
