LUSAKA, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu has directed that investigations be instituted into complaints that some of the country's embassies abroad discriminate when serving citizens.

Lungu said 'heads will roll' against those involved in practicing discrimination, adding that the role of embassies was to serve every Zambian. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- Zambia's environmental regulator has expressed satisfaction over the cooperation it was receiving from supermarkets in implementing a law that bans the use of carrier bags and packaging materials below 30 microns.
