TUNIS, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui paid an official visit to Qatar on Monday at the invitation of his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
Qatar will participate in the 30th ordinary session of the Arab Summit which will take place on March 31 in Tunis, according to a statement issued by Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Jhinaoui's visit was part of the preparation for the Summit.
He expressed Tunisia's determination to ensure the success of the Arab event and to strengthen the role of Arab countries in dealing with Arab issues.
Jhinaoui also called on Qatar to continue supporting Tunisian economy by injecting investment into promising sectors.
For his part, Al-Thani stressed Qatar's support for Tunisian economy, adding that the two countries will strengthen partnership in various fields.
