KIEV, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Sustainable growth of the economy will remain the priority for the Ukrainian government this year, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said here on Thursday.
"Our task is to ensure that the growth of the economy is at least 3 percent," Groysman was quoted as saying by the government press service.
The robust growth of the economy would enable the government to invest more in education, healthcare, energy efficiency and infrastructure development programs, Groysman said.
He added that this year the government plans to build a record number of roads.
Ukraine's gross domestic product rose by 2.8 percent in the third quarter of last year, by 3.8 percent in the second quarter and by 3.1 percent in the first quarter.
The full-year figure for 2018 has not been released.
