Xi's special representative to visit four countries

BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's special representative Yang Jiechi will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon from Jan. 13 to 19, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang announced here Friday.

Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, will also attend the World Future Energy Summit held in the UAE, Lu said.

Yang's visit is at the invitation of governments of the UAE, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon, the spokesperson said.
