ISTANBUL, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were wounded when two railway vehicles collided on Saturday in Istanbul, local media reported.
The railway renovation vehicles crashed head-on into each other in the Bakirkoy district on the European side of the city, the private NTV broadcaster said.
Fire and rescue forces have been dispatched to the area, NTV said, adding the cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
A month ago, nine people were killed and 89 others injured after a high-speed train ploughed into a service engine on the same route in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
