LONDON, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.91 percent, or 63.16 points, to close at 6,855.02 points.
Paddy Power Betfair, a bookmaking business, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.13 percent. Astrazeneca, a multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company, dropped 3.55 percent. Pearson, a British multinational publishing and education company, fell 3.49 percent.
Royal Bank Of Scotland Group, a banking and financial services company, soared 3.01 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Land Securities Group and Ocado Group increased by 2.06 percent and 1.95 percent, respectively. Enditem
