MELBOURNE, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Caroline Wozniacki looks in fine form at this year's Australian Open, dispatching her second-round opponent Johanna Larsson in straight sets on Wednesday 6-1, 6-3.
Described as "surgical precision" by television commentators, the 28-year-old Dane dominated her Swedish challenger, making 97 percent of her returns in the all-Scandinavian match-up.
With a distinct spring in her step after sealing her first Grand Slam trophy last year in Melbourne, Wozniacki has not dropped a set in the first two rounds of this year's tournament and believes that staying aggressive is the key to reclaiming the title.
"I started playing really aggressively and I think I served pretty well," the world number three said after the match.
"But she started making fewer errors and playing really deep, so that threw me off a little bit with my timing so I just tried to stay consistent and as aggressive as I could."
When asked how she felt returning to Australia, she told reporters, "I felt at home straight when I got here. It felt amazing."
