Nuggets guard Thomas likely to return by mid-February

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Former All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas could make his debut with the Denver Nuggets as early as February, local media reported on Friday.

Thomas, who has yet to play for the Nuggets after joining the team last summer as a free agent, could make his debut in the game against the Miami Heat on February 11.

The star guard hasn't played since last March with the Los Angeles Lakers. He was shut down for the final 11 games of the 2017-18 season after undergoing a hip surgery.

Denver now rank second in the Western Conference with a 30-14 record while Thomas, a career 18.9 point-per-game scorer, will add more energy to the already potent team.
