DRC court rejects appeal over election result

KINSHASA, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- A court of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Sunday rejected an appeal against the result of the country's presidential election, ruling that the challenge "unfounded".

The appeal of runner-up Martin Fayulu failed to prove that the official vote results were false, the court said.
