Powerful quake rocks central Indonesia, not potential for tsunami

JAKARTA, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- A shallow undersea quake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck off East Nusa Tenggara province of central Indonesia on Tuesday, but there was no tsunami alert issued, official in charge at meteorology and geophysics agency Priyo Budi told Xinhua by phone.
