WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Seven players of the Washington Wizards scored double figures as the team eased past the Detroit Pistons 101-87 on Monday.

Forward Trevor Ariza had 20 points and 12 rebounds while guard Bradley Beal added 16 points. Otto Porter came off the bench to score 19 for Washington.

The Pistons' star forward Blake Griffin put up a game-high 29 points, but Detroit's other players were underperforming.

"I thought we just came out with low energy," Griffin said. "Games like this you got to find a way, you just got to find a way to have better energy."

The Pistons have lost two in a row and 10 of their past 14.

While the Wizards are enjoying one of their best stretches of the season as the team won seven out of the past 10 games.

"I thought the defense was outstanding on all parts of the game," Washington coach Scott Brooks said. "We got into the ball, we did a great job on pick and rolls, and we rebounded the ball. We were really good. We give ourselves a chance to win every night if we keep doing this."

"Our defense overall has just been better. We've been communicating, not allowing teams to get a lot of offensive rebounds, forcing turnovers, getting in transition," said Washington forward Jeff Green, who added 11 points in the game.
