FRANKFURT, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- German police Friday evacuated hundreds of passengers from an ICE train at the Frankfurt South station amid a bomb threat. After searching the train, authorities later gave the all-clear, local media reported.

According to local public broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk, police received a bomb threat against an ICE train around 2 p.m. Authorities identified the train as ICE 74, which runs from Zurich to the northern German city of Kiel.

After clearing the train and closing two platforms at the South Station, authorities searched the train with bomb-sniffing dogs, but did not find anything. German police gave the all-clear and the passengers were able to re-board the train and continue their journey.
