ULAN BATOR, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian boxer Nyambayar Tugstsogt won a 12-round match for the vacant IBO world featherweight belt on Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Tugstsogt, a 2012 Olympic silver medalist, defeated Claudio Marrero from Dominican Republic by unanimous decision in their featherweight world title eliminator. Tugstsogt has a shot at WBC featherweight championship against Gary Russell Jr.

Despite initially aiming for a second Olympics in 2016, the 26-year-old decided to turn professional after the 2014 Asian Games.
