KIEV, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said Monday that his country is counting on attracting 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in investments from Norway, the Ukrainian government press service said.
Speaking after the Ukrainian-Norwegian Business Forum in Oslo, Groysman said entrepreneurs of the two countries have signed preliminary contracts under which Norwegian businesses will invest in Ukrainian energy, agriculture, IT sector and automotive industry.
In particular, under the contracts, about 800 million dollars will be invested in Ukraine's renewable energy, including the segments of wind, solar and hydro energy, Groysman said.
Last year, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Norway rose 8.1 percent to about 255.2 million dollars.
Groysman arrived in Oslo earlier in the day for a one-day official visit.
