KIEV, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said here on Tuesday that his country needs peace with Russia, according to the presidential Twitter account.
"Of course, we need peace with Russia... People are tired of the war," Poroshenko said during the forum "From Kruty to Brussels. We Follow Our Own Path."
At the same time, he said that Ukraine will continue its course toward the integration into the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Relations between Kiev and Moscow have been deteriorating since early 2014 over Crimea and the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine.
