Kyrgyz airport evacuated under bomb threat

BISHKEK, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Kyrgyz security service is looking for a bomb at the Manas International Airport in Bishkek, the press service of the State Committee for National Security reported Tuesday.

At 3:09 p.m. local time (0909 GMT) Tuesday, the committee's duty service received a message about an alleged bomb at the airport.

"Currently, a complex of measures are being carried out on the site to detect any suspicious objects and explosive devices, as well as to identify the persons involved in the incident," the report said.

Passengers and staff members have been evacuated, and the search for any explosive is still under way, according to the press service of the airport.
