U.S. crude oil inventories increase last week: API

HOUSTON, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported an increase of 2.514 million barrels in the U.S. crude oil inventories for the week ending Feb. 1.

In the previous week ending Jan. 25, API reported a build of 2.098 million barrels.

U.S. oil prices declined on Tuesday. The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for March delivery erased 0.90 U.S. dollar to settle at 53.66 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
