RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Veteran striker Ricardo Oliveira netted a first-half brace as Atletico Mineiro advanced to the final stage of the Copa Libertadores qualifiers on Tuesday with a 5-4 aggregate victory over Danubio.
Luan Madson also scored for Atletico while Carlos Grossmuller and Pablo Siles struck either side of halftime for Danubio as the Brazilian side won 3-2 on the night at their Independencia stadium in Belo Horizonte. It followed a 2-2 draw in last week's first leg in Uruguay.
Meanwhile, Ecuador's Barcelona SC won 1-0 at home to Defensor Sporting, completing a 3-1 aggregate victory over the Uruguayan side.
In Tuesday's only other qualifier, Chile's Palestino beat Independiente Medellin 4-1 on penalties after the scores were locked 1-1 at the end of the allotted 90 minutes in Colombia. The first leg also finished 1-1.
The final round of qualifying for South America's premier club competition will begin next week.
