Chinese shares close lower at midday Friday

BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares trended lower at midday Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropping 0.62 percent to close at 2,702.83 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.28 percent to 8,196.59 points at midday.
