KUWAIT CITY, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Kuwaiti Information Ministry launched on Sunday a wide-scale media campaign to promote Kuwait's 2035 development vision, the Kuwait News Agency said.
Mohammad Al-Awash, the ministry's acting undersecretary, said that the effort primarily intended to highlight the core aspects of Kuwait's national development drive, including diversified economy, developed infrastructure, sustainable living environment and high-quality medical care.
Co-organized by the Information Ministry and the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, the six-week campaign features media activities, development programs and movies, Al-Awash said.
In February 2010, with an aim to change the country's traditional oil-reliant economic structure, the Kuwaiti government unveiled "Kuwait 2035," a national development strategy to turn the country into a trade and financial hub.
