MOSCOW, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- The total volume of contracts concluded during the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi reached 1 trillion rubles (about 15 billion U.S. dollars), Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Monday.

"In any case, according to Roscongress, contracts have already been signed for around 1 trillion rubles, which is generally quite decent, bearing in mind the interests of investors," Medvedev was quoted by Tass news agency as saying at a meeting with Russian deputy prime ministers.

Implementation of national projects was specifically discussed at the forum, Medvedev said, adding that all the proposals need to be carefully analyzed and the most significant ones should be formalized as assignments.

Russia plans to spend over 25.7 trillion rubles (about 390 billion U.S. dollars) on projects in a dozen national strategic development areas in 2019-2024, according to a statement released by the government.

A portfolio of projects based on some 1,000 initiatives worth almost 76 trillion rubles (about 1.14 trillion U.S. dollars) is currently being formed, covering a vast range of sectors, Medvedev said Thursday at a plenary session of the forum.
