KIEV, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- A total of 70.8 percent of Ukrainians plan to vote in the forthcoming presidential election, a public opinion poll showed on Friday.

According to the survey conducted by the center for social and marketing research SOCIS, 9.2 percent of respondents were sure they would not vote in the election, while 20 percent of those surveyed were undecided.

The nationwide survey was carried out from Feb. 8 to 18 among 2,000 adults. Its margin error was plus or minus 2.1 percentage points.

The presidential election in Ukraine is scheduled for March 31, with the participation of 44 candidates.

In the previous presidential election on May 25, 2014, the voter turnout was 59.5 percent.
