FRANKFURT, March 4 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 9.02 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 11,592.66 points.
Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical lost 2.23 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard and multinational chemical firm Linde, which lost 2.16 percent and 1.89 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer gained 1.29 percent, the top gainer. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and pharmaceutical company Merck advanced 0.94 percent and 0.69 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most traded share, with a turnover of 191.8 million euros (216.7 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
