FRANKFURT, March 5 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 28.08 points, or 0.24 percent, to close at 11,620.74 points.
Personal-care company Beiersdorf won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.80 percent. Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard rose by 1.78 percent and 0.93 percent respectively.
Material manufacturer Covestro lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.25 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and Deutsche Bank went down by 1.07 percent and 0.85 percent respectively.
German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 229.7 million euros (260 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
