SINGAPORE, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.07 percent, or 2.33 points, to close at 3,197.92.
A total of 850.89 million shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.01 billion Singapore dollars (about 745.22 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered Losers by 214 to 166.
The STI index went up 0.52 percent, or 16.66 points, to close at 3,195.59 Wednesday.
