HO CHI MINH CITY, March 15 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at an electronic appliance-repairing shop in Vietnam's southern Ba Ria Vung Tau province early Friday, killing three, local media reported.

After controlling the fire in Xuyen Moc district, firefighters found three burnt bodies, including that of a 46-year-old man, who rented the shop to repair broken electronic appliances and lived there, his 10-year-old foster daughter, and his female partner, online newspaper VnExpress reported.

A total of 668 fires and explosions occurred in Vietnam in the first two months of this year, killing 20 people, injuring 38 others, and leaving property losses of nearly 104 billion Vietnamese dong (4.5 million U.S. dollars), according to the country's Fire Prevention and Fight Department.
