SINGAPORE, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.41 percent, or 13.26 points, to close at 3,207.66.
A total of 903.21 million shares changed hands with a turnover of 974.99 million Singapore dollars (about 721.41 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered Losers by 160 to 198.
The STI index went up 0.25 percent, or 7.96 points, to close at 3,220.92 on Tuesday.
