SARAJEVO, March 25 (Xinhua) -- The 29-year-old Nadir Hajro, born with cerebral palsy, is the only bodybuilder with cerebral palsy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the area of Balkans.

In 2018, he finished 7th at Dallas Europa Games 2018 in the United States, where mainly older people with disabilities competed and where he was the only one with cerebral palsy, Hajro told Xinhua here on Monday.

In October 2007 when he spent time in health resort in BiH, Hajro decided to start doing exercises in the gym.

Hajro, who holds master degree in law and is at the same time employed, continued doing exercises and bodybuilding until 2013, after which he decided to do it professionally and compete, training twice a day, 5 days a week.

Generally, people around him did not believe that he could make one gram of muscles, but since then, he was certain he would become the first professional body builder with cerebral palsy in the world.

His competing career started in 2014 when he won in the wheelchair bodybuilding category at the state level and third place at the European competition.

Two years later, Hajro enters in International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) pro division and competes at the most elite competitions in the world of professional bodybuilding.

"I am the only bodybuilder with cerebral palsy since birth, who has a professional status in IFBB pro league," the league in which Arnold Schwarzenegger, former bodybuilder, competed.

He has the support of his brother, who helps him to walk, and assists him while he is training.

"Loving this beautiful sport, I will do professional bodybuilding until my death. I want to leave the positive influence on people," Hajro said.
