Real Madrid beat Panathinaikos 74-73 in Athens with buzzer beater

ATHENS, March 28 (Xinhua) -- With a buzzer beater three pointer from Rudy Fernandez, Real Madrid managed to beat Panathinaikos OPAP 74-73 on Thursday night at OAKA Stadium in Athens.

Although Panathinaikos enjoyed the lead throughout the game with Keith Langford and Georgios Papagiannis scoring 14 points each. Real Madrid increased the pressure in the last five minutes and overtake the Greek team with a very lucky three pointer from Fernandez.

Now, Panathinaikos faces Buducnost VOLI Podgorica in Athens on April 4 to seek a win to qualify for the next round of the final eight of the Euroleague tournament. Real Madrid has already qualified to the next round.
