FRANKFURT, April 5 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 21.74 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 12,009.75 points.
Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.70 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer rose by 1.65 percent and 1.30 percent respectively.
Deutsche Bank lost the most among the blue chips by falling 1.19 percent. Multinational software corporation SAP and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel went down by 1.10 percent and 0.98 percent respectively.
SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 297.6 million euros (334.2 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
