Heaven and Earth: Li Yu, the Poet Emperor (Future Kun Qu Opera)

Venue: Shanghai Grand Theater

Introduction:

Taiwan Guo Guang Opera Company is known as a reformer of Chinese Kun Qu Opera. They bring a bitter-sweet love-triangle story between a Chinese Emperor and two beautiful sisters. Emperor Li Yu was born to rule a country. He was also one of the most talented poets in Chinese history. In this production, the director raises the question: "What is immortal -- power, love, or literature?"

Classical Selections of Operas and Musicals Concert

Venue: Shanghai Oriental Art Center

Introduction:

The concert will be given by Adelaide Harmony Choir, one of Australia's foremost large choirs with a history of over 70 years. Its wide choral repertoire extends from oratorio and opera to operetta and songs. During this visit to Shanghai, it will perform many classical selections from world-renowned operas and musicals such as West Side Story, The Phantom of the Opera, Carmen, The Bohemian, etc.

Thonik: Why We Design (Exhibition)
