MADRID, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained 0.3 percent on Monday with the benchmark index Ibex-35 opening at 9,468.50 points and closing at 9,497.10 points.
The shares of 24 of the 35 companies trading on the Ibex-35 rose in the day, while the share prices of nine companies fell and two remained unchanged.
Monday's best performing company was renewable energy producer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy with a 4.37-percent increase in share prices.
Shares in telecommunications company Cellnex Telecom climbed by 2.83 percent and those of the cellulose producer, ENCE Energia y Celulosa went up by 1.60 percent.
The worst performer was the BBVA savings bank with a 0.56 percent fall in share prices, followed by petrochemical giant, Repsol which suffered a 0.53 percent reduction in value.
Shares in pharmaceutical and hospital company Grifols went down by 0.36 percent. Enditem
