LONDON, April 15 (Xinhua) -- British stocks closed flat on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down 0.19 point to end at 7,436.87 points.
Paddy Power Betfair, a sports betting and gaming company, soared 3.05 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. EasyJet and Prudential increased by 2.22 percent and 1.79 percent, respectively.
Compass Group, a British multinational contract foodservice company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.20 percent.
