LONDON, April 17 (Xinhua) -- British stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.02 percent, or 1.40 points, to end at 7,471.32 points.
TUI AG, a Germany-based integrated tourism group, soared 4.54 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. ITV and Paddy Power Betfair increased by 2.72 percent and 2.21 percent respectively.
Bunzl, a multinational distribution and outsourcing company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 9.29 percent. Rio Tinto, a mining and metals company, dropped 2.69 percent. BHP Group, a global resources company, fell 2.55 percent. Enditem
