FRANKFURT, April 18 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 69.32 points, or 0.57 percent, to close at 12,222.39 points.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.12 percent. Housing association Vonovia and German airlines Lufthansa rose by 1.45 percent and 1.30 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.96 percent. Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and pharmaceutical company Merck went down by 1.71 percent and 1.20 percent respectively.
Daimler was the most-traded share with a turnover of 457.7 million euros (514.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
