Senior lawmakers hear reports on appointment and dismissal matters

BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) held a chairpersons' meeting Sunday afternoon to hear reports on appointment and dismissal matters.

Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the meeting.

Xin Chunying, deputy secretary-general of the NPC Standing Committee, briefed the meeting on newly added appointment and dismissal matters.

The reports will be submitted for review at the ongoing session of the NPC Standing Committee, scheduled to conclude Tuesday.
