MONTEVIDEO, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Penaol maintained a one-point lead at the top of the standings following the completion of the 10th round of matches in Uruguay's Apertura first division tournament on Sunday.
The Montevideo side could only manage a 1-1 draw with bottom-of-the-table Cerro but remained leaders after second-placed Fenix were held to a 4-4 home draw by Nacional.
In other matches, Progreso won 4-0 at home to River Plate, Rampla Juniors and Danubio drew 0-0, Boston River won 1-0 at Juventud, Racing CM drew 1-1 at Liverpool and Defensor Sporting romped to a 4-1 home win over Plaza Colonia.
There are five rounds remaining in the Apertura, one of two mini seasons played in Uruguay's top flight.
