Dollar changes hands in upper 111 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, April 22 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 111 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely in line with its levels late last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 111.92-93 yen compared with 111.81-91 yen in New York and 111.91-94 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1244-1245 dollars and 125.84-85 yen against 1.1243-1253 dollars and 125.80-90 yen in New York and 1.1243-1245 dollars and 125.83-87 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
