BUDAPEST, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Alexander Valuch and Wang Yang won two preliminary rounds to reach the men's doubles first round at the World Table Tennis Championships on Monday.
The Slovak pair beat Turkmenistan's Rashid Ahmedov and Ravil Ahmedov 3-0 and then downed Slovenia's Deni Kozul and Bojan Tokic 3-1.
Slovakia's Tatiana Kukulkova defeated Singapore's Goi Rui Xuan 4-1 in the women's singles qualification round while her compatriot Samuel Kaluzny lost his first preliminary round to Austria's Andreas Levenko in straight sets.
The most watchable game of the day will be China's Fan Zhendong and Ding Ning taking on Hungary's Nandor Ecseki and Dora Madarasz in the mixed doubles first round.
