LONDON, April 22 (Xinhua) -- An ongoing fire, which is ripping through a National Trust site in north England, is likely to have been started by a barbecue, the Trust said on Monday.

The fire, which broke out Sunday night, is covering 300 hectares of moorland, on Marsden Moor, near Huddersfield. It has now spread to Denshaw in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, local fire service said.

There are 15 crews on scene attempting to fight the flames, with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service also drafting in water air support.

The Marsden Moor Estate is a large expanse of moorland in the South Pennines, between the conurbations of West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester in the north of England.
