Sri Lankan police put on high alert over suspicious vehicles in Colombo

COLOMBO, April 23 (Xinhua) -- All police stations in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo have been put on high alert over a suspicious van and lorry, the police said in a special media statement on Tuesday.

The statement came after the Island country was hit by a series of bombing attacks on churches and luxurious hotels Sunday.
