China adopts treaty on criminal transfer with Azerbaijan

BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislature on Tuesday adopted a treaty on the transfer of sentenced persons between China and Azerbaijan.

Members of the National People's Congress Standing Committee voted to ratify the treaty at the legislature's bimonthly session.

With 19 articles, the treaty stipulates transfer conditions, procedures, required documents and expenses.

The ratification of the treaty is conducive to strengthening judicial cooperation between China and Azerbaijan and will push forward the development of bilateral ties, Justice Minister Fu Zhenghua said when briefing lawmakers on the treaty.
