TEHRAN, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zanganeh vowed Tuesday that the U.S. dream to bring Iranian oil exports to zero will never come true.
The minister told Iranian lawmakers that the U.S. has made a big mistake by politicizing oil and using it as a weapon, reported the Iran Petro Energy Information Network, which is affiliated to the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum.
"We will exert our maximum effort to break the U.S. sanctions," Zanganeh was quoted as saying.
On Monday, the White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump decided not to extend the sanctions waivers for major importers to continue buying Iran's oil when they expire in early May.
In the face of "this aggressive economic war that the United States has waged against Iran, "we must all join hands to leave behind this grave condition," Zanganeh added.
