RABAT, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan police arrested on Tuesday six people with suspected links to the Islamic State (IS) extremist group in the northern city of Sale.
The six suspects, aged between 22 and 28, swore allegiance to the IS leader and joined a cell to propagate the terrorist ideology, the interior ministry said in a statement.
They also tried to learn to manufacture explosive devices, the statement added.
During the raid, the police seized electronic devices, bladed weapons and books advocating extremist ideology.
Investigations are still underway to arrest more suspected members of the terror cell.
